Mission is a central component of life at Augustana. We reach out in many ways to neighbors in our local community and around the world, seeking to build relationships of compassion, service, and accompaniment.

Through our work in our neighborhood, our community, and our world, we follow the example of Jesus in meeting needs and serving others. There are many volunteer opportunities available at each of these organizations. Links to their websites are provided below.

Augustana is a food shelf location for Neighbors, Inc. The third Sunday of each month we hold a Food Shelf Collection.

This year Augustana's Social Ministry Committee has decided to handle food collection in a new and exciting way. Instead of having several large food drives each year where we collect a wide variety of items, we will instead have a monthly food drive, which will concentrate on specific projects or groups of projects.

June - Baby month

July - Fruit month

August - Breakfast month

September - Complete meals month

October - Comfort food month

November - Give thanks month

December - Sponsor a Christmas Dinner
